Star Diopside is a Calcium Magnesium Silicate mineral with a Mohs hardness of 5.5 to 6. It is associated with the month March and the astrological signs of Pisces and Virgo. Star Diopside is found mainly in India. Star Diopside exhibits a star like phenomenon known as Asterism. These stones contain inclusions in the form of needles that align to produce the white 4-rayed star.

Diopside can be used to stimulate the intellect and enhance learning, providing special assistance to analytical pursuits.
